Saffron Jeera Rice w/ a twist
2 cups cooked long grain rice ( not lumpy or sticky)
1/4 cup fresh cilantro
1/4 cup fresh parsley
1 tsp - Jeera (cumin seeds)
2 tbsp milk
Few strands of saffron
Almonds , Raisins
2 tsp olive oil
Salt to taste
In a small bowl take the milk, make sure it is warm. Add the saffron stands to it and let it sit.
In a sauté pan heat the oil and roast almonds and raisins. Set the almonds and raisins aside and leave the oil in the sauté pan. To this oil add fresh cilantro fresh parsley and cumin seeds. Sauté for 30 seconds.
Add cooked rice salt stir well.
Close with lid and let it steam for a few minutes. add the saffron milk to the rice and stir well. Top it with raisins and almonds.
Rice is ready to be devoured with any side dish!
