Baked Mattri
2 cups - All purpose flour
1/4 cup - sooji (semolina flour)
Salt to taste ( add little more than what you would for rotis)
2 tbsp - jeera
2 tsp - chilli powder
3 tsp - kasoori Methi
3/4 cup butter @ room temperature
Water to make a dough
Mix the dry ingredients well. Add the butter and mix it well. The dough should look crumbly but still will take shape. Add a few teaspoons of water. knead into the dough. The dough should be very much a like a chapati dough. Rest for 10 minutes.
Roll the dough flat. it should be just like a roti / chapati. Use a stencil to cut shapes. Poke holes with a fork before you bake. Else you will have dry pooris :)
Bake at 425 F for 15-18 mins.
Every oven is slightly different. So watch the Mattri closely.
