Mock Almond Roca

Amazing recipe that a friend gave me. Its so easy and yummy, everytime its a sure success!

Ingredients
Saltine Crackers 1 pack
Butter 6 oz ( I used 4 oz + 2 oz margarine)
Brown sugar 1 CUP
Semi-sweet Chocolate chips 6-8 0z (vary by taste)
Almonds (slices) - 4-5 oz

Procedure
Line a medium cookie sheet (10x15) with aluminum foil.
Place a layer of saltine crackers on foil.
Put 6 OZ of real butter and 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar in a saucepan.
Bring to a rolling boil for 2 minutes.
Pour this sugar mixture over crackers.
Bake in oven at 350 for 5 minutes.
Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with a 6 oz. bag of chocolate chips, let them melt. (I put 12 oz... but it's up to you)
Put it back in the oven for one minute for the chips to melt.
Spread chips with a spatula. 
Sprinkle crushed almonds or pecans on top.
Let cool (refrigerate) then cut with a pizza cutter. If in a hurry, put it in the freezer for 30 minutes.
